Three Gypsies Publishing began with a single book.

Don’t Borrow Trouble was written slowly, in the midst of ordinary responsibilities—parenthood, work, grief, music, and the daily effort to stay present without borrowing worry from a future that had not yet arrived. The book did not fit neatly into an existing category, and it did not want to be rushed or reshaped to meet someone else’s expectations.

Rather than force it into a system that didn’t quite fit, Three Gypsies Publishing was created to give the book a proper home.

The press exists to publish work like Don’t Borrow Trouble: writing and music that emerge from lived experience, take their time, and resist being simplified for the sake of convenience or trend. The goal is not scale, but accuracy—finding the right form, pacing, and presentation for each project.

Three Gypsies Publishing is small by design. It publishes selectively and works closely with each release, treating the act of publishing as an extension of the work itself rather than a separate, industrial process.
